Setting up your Go Hostal Email Account

I use Microsoft Outlook (These instructions may vary slightly based on your version of Microsoft Outlook)
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Select "Tools --> Email Accounts..."
  3. Select "Add a new e-mail account"
  4. Click "Next >"
  5. Select "POP3"
  6. Click "Next >"
  7. Enter your first and last name in the field labeled "Your Name"
  8. Enter your email address in the field labeled "Email Address"
  9. Enter "mail.gohostal.com" in the field labeled "Incoming mail server (POP3)"
  10. Enter "mail.gohostal.com" in the field labeled "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)"
  11. Enter your username in the field labeled "User Name" - NOTE: Your username is exactly the same as your email address
  12. Enter your password in the field labeled "Password"
  13. Click "More Settings..."
  14. Click the "Outgoing Server" tab
  15. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
  16. Click "OK"
  17. Click "Next >"
  18. Click "Finish"
  19. You should now be back at the main Outlook window - Click "Send/Receive" to test your account
I use Microsoft Outlook Express (These instructions may vary slightly based on your version of Microsoft Outlook Express)
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express
  2. Select "Tools --> Accounts..."
  3. Select "Add --> Mail"
  4. Enter your first and last name in the field labeled "Display name"
  5. Click "Next >"
  6. Enter your email address in the field labeled "E-mail address"
  7. Click "Next >"
  8. Enter "mail.gohostal.com" in the field labeled "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server"
  9. Enter "mail.gohostal.com" in the field labeled "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server"
  10. Click "Next >"
  11. Enter your username in the field labeled "Account name" - NOTE: Your username is exactly the same as your email address
  12. Enter your password in the field labeled "Password"
  13. Select "Remember password" if you do not wish to enter your password each time you Send/Receive email
  14. Click "Next >"
  15. Click "Finish"
  16. Select the account you just created and click "Properties"
  17. Click the "Servers" tab
  18. Select "My server requires authentication"
  19. Click "OK"
  20. Click "Close"
  21. You should now be back at the Main Outlook Express window - Click "Send/Recv" to test your account
I use WebMail

The URL for WebMail is http://webmail.gohostal.com. Your username is your email address.

I use another email client
  1. Set your name
  2. Set your email address
  3. Set your username - NOTE: Your username is exactly the same as your email address
  4. Set your password
  5. Set your incoming (POP3) mail server to "mail.gohostal.com"
  6. Set your outgoing (SMTP) mail server to "mail.gohostal.com"
  7. Specify that your outgoing (SMTP) mail server requires authentication using the same settings as your incoming (POP3) mail server
  8. Test your account by performing a "send/recieve"
