Migrating your Email Account from DCS to Go Hostal
I use Microsoft Outlook (These instructions may vary slightly based on your version of Microsoft Outlook)
- Open Microsoft Outlook
- Select "Tools --> Email Accounts..."
- Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"
- Click "Next >"
- Select the appropriate account and click "Change..."
- Click "More Settings..."
- Click the "Advanced" tab and change the Incoming server (POP3) port number to 1111
- Click "OK"
- Click "Next >"
- Click "Finish"
- You should now be back at the main Outlook window - Click "Send/Recieve" to download any email left on the old server
- Once this has finished, select "Tools --> Email Accounts..."
- Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"
- Click "Next >"
- Select the appropriate account and click "Change..."
- Change "Incoming mail server (POP3)" to mail.gohostal.com
- Change "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" to mail.gohostal.com
- If you changed your Go Hostal Email Account password to something different from your DCS account password, be sure to update the "Password" field
- Click "More Settings..."
- Click the "Outgoing Server" tab and verify that "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.
- Click the "Advanced" tab and change the Incoming server (POP3) port number back to 110
- Click "OK"
- Click "Next >"
- Click "Finish"
- You should now be back at the main Outlook window - Click "Send/Receive" to test your new account

- Open Microsoft Outlook Express
- Select "Tools --> Accounts..."
- Select the appropriate account and click "Properties"
- Click the "Advanced" tab and change the Incoming server (POP3) port number to 1111
- Click "OK"
- Click "Close"
- You should now be back at the main Outlook Express window - Click "Send/Recv" to download any email left on the old server
- Once this has finished, select "Tools --> Accounts..."
- Select the appropriate account and click "Properties"
- Click the "Servers" tab
- Change "Incoming mail server (POP3)" to mail.gohostal.com
- Change "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" to mail.gohostal.com
- If you changed your Go Hostal Email Account password to something different from your DCS account password, be sure to update the "Password" field
- Also be sure that "My server requires authentication" is checked
- Click the "Advanced" tab and change the Incoming server (POP3) port number back to 110
- Click "OK"
- Click "Close"
- You should now be back at the Main Outlook Express window - Click "Send/Recv" to test your new account
I use WebMail
I use another email client
- Modify your existing DCS account so that Incoming Mail (POP3) uses port 1111
- Perform one last Send/Receive to download any email left on the old server
- Change your Incoming Mail (POP3) port back to 110
- Change your Incoming (POP3) Server to mail.gohostal.com
- Change your Outgoing (SMTP) Server to mail.gohostal.com
- If you changed your password from the old mail server to the new one, be sure to update it
- Be sure that you have specified that your Outgoing (SMTP) Server requires authentication using the same settings as your Incoming (POP3) Mail Server
